Get help from the Routes to Delivery team
The Routes to Delivery team helps public service teams in Scotland choose the best route to deliver their services digitally.
What we do
The Routes to Delivery team can help you to:
- learn what reusable components, channels and patterns are available and how you can use them
- understand what opportunities technology can offer your service
- make good technology and delivery decisions early
- build the evidence you need for a business case
Reusable components and patterns
Our goal is to increase the adoption of common components across the Scottish public sector. We’ll help you to understand whether existing Scottish Government components, commercial products or service patterns can meet your needs.
Components include:
- the mygov.scot app
- ScotAccount
- ScotPayments
- the Cloud Platform
- Forms
- Secure Mailbox
- Design System
- GOV.UK Notify/Pay
How we help
We will work with you to find the ‘best’ delivery approach by:
- understanding the needs of your users and your organisational goals
- mapping the opportunity and potential service
- assessing technology and reusable component options
- shaping a feasible route into delivery
- providing information on skills and resourcing needs for a digital team
- sharing standards, guidance and useful information resources
If we identify that your service is a viable candidate for the mygov app, re-usable components or service patterns we will work with you to produce high-level:
- service design
- conceptual architecture
- business process mapping
These artefacts will support your business case development and be used to inform our delivery teams of your requirements.
You’ll leave with clear recommendations on your route to digital delivery.
We will not:
- provide delivery teams or technical resource
- design, build or test your product/service
- replace your internal decision-making responsibilities
