What the Service Manual is
The Digital Scotland Service Manual will offer expert guidance and information for anyone delivering a digital service in the Scottish Government or its agencies.
At the moment, the Digital Scotland Service Manual is in its beta phase, which means any content you'll find on the site will likely change significantly before the beta phase ends.
We know the current site will not offer you all the answers you need. The guidance and information in the Service Manual will develop to answer many more of your questions.
While we're developing our Service Manual, you can get help or advice on:
- hiring digital professionals using the DDaT recruitment process
- meeting the Digital Scotland Service Standard
- buying a digital product or service
- creating accessible digital services using the Scottish Government Design System
- agile courses or coaching from the Scottish Digital Academy
- the cloud first approach from the Cloud Programme Team
- how ScotAccount can improve people’s access to public services
- paying people using the Scottish Government Payment Service
- design standards, including content standards, help with accessibility and user research
If you have another type of query, you can contact the Service Manual team. When contacting us, you should be aware that we may be able to point you in the right direction, but we cannot resource your project or do any of your project work.
